Receipt variables

Is there a document that defines how to modify the receipt and spells out the
receipt variables? If not, when will it be available?

If you have any experience at all with html or xml you will probably benefit
from directly editing the .xml documents. You can create new fonts and
formats within the document but can't use the "receipt editor" in RMS to do
much other than change a few options. It took me about a day to get
comfortable with all the variables and get my receipts looking the way I
wanted them to but it was worth the effort.
