When returning an item, can you return the item by selecting the matrix
rather than the individual item and changing the quantity to -1?

Hi KIm,
Normally this won't work as it works in sale where for each matrix type you
can put the qunatites. HOWEVER when you select the matrix item it bring the
matrix window but allow only one item at a time to be returned and make the
-1 qty automatically in return document type. It work but one by one.

Regards
Akber

Thank you very much for looking at this. Unfortunately this does not resolve
my question. I am more concerned about how the sale is recorded in the
database (under the transaction table) when selecting the matrix item instead
of the individual item. The procedure would be to set a return then select
the matrix item, select the size and colour from the matrix grid and then
change the quantity from 0 to -1. Is this all recorded correctly in the
transaction tables?
Thanks

Hi Kim, the thing is that as you sale you can also do the similar way in
return. I could understand that you don't want to press CTRL+F4 for return
and then perform the return however you can scan the matrix select the size,
color or whatever and then enter the quantity to -1 this will autoamtically
treat as return and your inventory will increase. so don't worry that you are
on the sales type window but this would treat as return.

If you awere using the the Retail Realm RR Touch add-on you could return by
opening the matrix and selecting how many of each you are returning
