We are experiencing the following error when trying to check a client out
with an american express:

Run-time error '-2147217887 (80040e21)';
Multiple-stop operation generated errrors. Check each status value.

Ony happens when the order contains multiple products, and only happens when
tendering to american express. All other credit card payments process
correctly.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

David

What type of EDC integration are you using? It kind of sounds like you are
using PCCharge or ICVerify and have set up to process American Express
separately, but that's just a guess. You should also check your tender
types in SO Manager - make sure that AmEx is set up similar to your other
card types...

Thanks for your reply.

we use citibank processing, and it appears that everything is setup
correctly. The strange thing is that a transaction with a single item goes
through just fine. The error only occurs when the transaction contains
multiple items.

The problem is now happening with single line items as well. The strange
thing is that it only happen periodically. The card is actually processing
and shows in the batch, but the sale doesn't complete and the pos shuts
itself down.

Could this be a database coruption issue?

David,

You can try re-indexing a running a check in SO Admin. Do a backup first
though, but I'll bet that your processor did something at their end. Call
and make sure that they haven't turned off AMEX on their end.

Also, what version are you using of RMS? SO Manager | Help | About The
current version is 1.2.0189. Contact M$ support for the latest version.
