I am getting the same error message. What I have is a bad daily batch I
can't shake. Every time I open the software, i get SERVER FAILURE 131:
UNABLE TO READ CURRENT BATCH. I tried using register 2 to open the Manager
and it gives the same error!

We only do sales on register 1. We've only had it open for one day and got
this error after closing out our sales yesterday.

In order to get the software to open, i had to edit the SQL server table
called registers and change current batch to 1 (the closed batch). The
software keeps making new batches but not a one of them are "usable" as i get
the server failure error every time trying to open up RMS with any other
batch. Please help.

Did you delete all of the batches in the Batch table manually instead of =
using the Delete Transactions in the SO Admin program?

You need to do as Cole did, reset to the correct batch number in the =
Register table.
