We are using MS RMS at 14 stores and have an HQ database where item details
are maintained.
We use the Cost Update Worksheet to update item costs at the stores. The
worksheet is reported as having processed successfully.
However half the stores are showing the old cost and half showing the new
cost (as reported in the ITEMDYNAMIC table through the "snapshot").
What might cause different stores to have different costs?
(The item ID's are all okay so there appears to be no database integrity
issue)
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Dave,

The first thing I do anymore when having issues with HQ is to re-index and
run a check on both ends, the store and at HQ.
See if anything changes

Need to check the item cost in HQ database.
Maybe from some stores the cost was never updated and HQ cost got downloaded
to stores instead of the worksheet Item cost changes.

There are known bugs in RMS via-a-vis cost at both store and hq:
1- Cost Valuation Reports Understaed [store & HQ] as negatives are
multiplied in the report
2- Parent Child cost do not get updated when parent cost changes
3- When doing inter store transfer the qty is transferred not the cost thus
causing valuation loss or gain issue accross the enterprise
4- cost at HQ does not show interstore transfer values
5- Cost at HQ does not reflect the avaeage of costs from all store as it
uses the static cost and not the averaged cost.

For ALL of the above we have a FIX. If you wish to know more contact me by
email please.
