We have this working now, but the screen on the 6550 stays blank for almost
the entire interaction with the customer. We have to tell the customer
when to swipe the card because the screen stays blank. Is there a way to
get the total of the transaction to display on the 6550 screen so the
customer knows when to swipe?

Thanks,

CS

Enable the Pole display for the ingenico and it will display the cost of each
item as it is rung up.
Hope this helps.
Also did you set the ingenico up with the information from the knowledgebase?

Hi Steve

Thanks for the response. We tested the pole display option during setup and
that still isn't what we wanted, but that might work for some people. We
want to see the "please swipe card" and "Your Total Is $$$" or something to
that effect like you see when using the machines at Home Depot or most major
chain stores. There is a group of people talking about paying a developer
to make the 6550 work like customers are used to seeing for sig cap. If you
want to chip in to make the costs lower for the development send me a message
and I'll put you in contact with the developer.

Thanks

I believe I know what you are talking about. How much do you think it will
cost as a whole? I am sure as the Ingenico gets more common place at more
stores we will see more people willing to help pay the cost. Let me know what
you find out.
Thanks

Hi Steve

I'm not sure yet what the cost is going to be. The person I'm dealing with
at New West Tech. is tallying up the number of folks who are interested in
this and then I think we should be able to split the development costs. If
you or anyone who reads this are interested in updating the graphical
interface on the Ingenico signature capture devices could you please send a
message to George: GMuchae@newestech.com

Thanks,

Chris
