We had to move our back office tower to the front of our store to use as the
cash register after a complete failure of the register hard drive.

We have managed to figure out how to make this one register 1 but cannot get
the receipt printer to work or the drawer to open.

Upon opening the Store Operations POS the first message is:
Warning 919: The printer OPOS driver was not found. Do you want to continue.

We answer yes and then if we try to print a receipt we get this message:
Invalid Operation 426: The OPOS device is not opened. Make sure that the
device is enabled in the register properties.

We cannot find anything about "opening" the device in the register list
properties or anywhere else for that matter.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Our receipt printer is an Epson TM -T88111

Thank you

Sam,

Sounds like you don't have the receipt printer, either installed or named
right. Start | Settings | Printers & Faxes | look if the receipt printer is
there. If so, make a note of the name. If not, you need to install the
printer.

SO Manager | Database | Registers | Register List | select the register you
are at | Receipt Printer 1 tab | make sure that the OPOS name is correct.

Thanks Jeff. We downloaded from epsonexpert.com but the same thing is
happening. I might add that if I select Control-Shift F5 for Peripherals on
the POS that the receipt printer 1 gives the following information:

Type OPOS
Status Closed
Receipt Printing enabled Yes
Receipt Print Style On Demand
Electronic Journaling enabled Yes

All we did was move the back officer server to the front and plugged
everything back in. By the way the scanner works fine. We did go through the
Administrator OPS to make sure that this was recognized and register1 (it had
been identified as register 2 while in the back office. )

I hope I am explaining myself correctly. We know just enough to get us into
more trouble.
