We just went to a new setup with the printer triggering the cash drawer.
Unfortunately, even though we told RMS NOT to open on anything but cash, it
opens on ALL transactions. We updated to the latest service pack, and that
made no difference either. Do we have no choice other than to use OPOS?
Currently we are using the windows driver.

Bud,

When using a cash drawer that plugs into back of the printer, the drawer
will open everytime using the Windo$e driver. I don't remember if it works
properly with the OPOS driver. There are some other gotchas using OPOS
though, like receipt modification. The print quality is better using the
Windo$e raster driver than OPOS and its slightly faster too.
