Check your paths in Store Ops Administrator Configuration.

Sorry so long entering a reply. None of the EXEs run, POS, Manager,
Administrator. They all error immediately after starting from either the
desktop icon or via the exe directly. This happens on only one of eight
registers. Have checked for viruses and spyware--none. The user has full
permission to run the programs. We are using SBS 2003 on the server and XP
SP2 on the workstations.

Thanks.

Hmm .. if you can't get Administrator to run, then your only recourse is to
reinstall RMS on that workstation. I'll assume the database is stored on
the SBS server, so there should not be any files to save, but it's always a
good idea to do a backup first.

Put the CD in and do a "Remove" (not a Repair). Then go and xdelete the
directory C:Program FilesMicrosoft Retail Management System. Also delete
the registry keys from HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftRetail Management System.
Then reboot and use the CD to re-install RMS. Apply the latest hotfix (or
the same hotfix that is installed on the other machines). Make sure all of
this gets done while logged in as Administrator.

If this doesn't work, then you'll probably have to re-install Windows.
