Sub-totals of sales on reports??? PRJ 08-30-2006

I may have seen something here about this, but can't recall specifically. I
often run reports of items sales over a specific period, along with on-hand
quantities for the same items. What I wind up with is a many-page report
because each sales transaction prints out as a separate line, with the
current on-hand being the same for all those lines. This is probably because
of how RMS saves it's history, but it is totally counter-intuitive and makes
any kind of meaningful sales momentum analysis much more difficult than it
should be.

Any suggestions?

I think I do recall seeing a post here that had a quick-fix solution
attached, but I had to set up in Outlook to get the attachment, and whatever
I did then does not seem to be working now. If that's part of the solution to
this, I'd appreciate being pointed to how to re-set that access. Many
thanks.
