Supplier list security

Does anyone know how to stop the department / category and supplier name from
showing at POS when
1.doing an item look-up find. Even though we have set the security to not
show the fields, when the find result appears and you scroll to the right the
list of department / category & suppliers can be viewed.
2.in the graphs section. We would like the stores to be able to see the
sales by sales rep and hour and register, but not by supplier, department or
cstegory. Is it possible to restrict the graphs available? If you set
security it hides access to all of the graphs.

This seems to be a bug with the Security options and the Find window.
Contact MS and open a support incident. They will create a HotFix for it.

Curious -- why would you want to do this? Are your suppliers a secret? Why
would you want depts and categories excluded in Find? That makes easier to
sort and find things.

How about limiting access to the graphs and provide secure level access to a
custom report instead?

Thanks Mark / Rob. I'll send in the support incident and we will create the
custom report. Re the supplier list, our business is in a very small
community where everyone is related and knows everyone. Afer spending time,
money and effort developing relationships with our suppliers, we dont want
someone to be able to print off our supplier list and then hand it to one of
our competitors, who just happens to also be their uncle! The dep list is an
abbreviation of the supplier name so the same applies.
