I have an ecommerce system that I have intergreated with RMS. Each
order is pulled out of the ecommerce database as XML (as defined in
the customization guide) and insrted into the exchange table for
processing using the standard Internet Order function.

I have a problem with the tax. I have tax set on the RMS items. The
ecommerce system has no concept of tax so the XML cannot contain the
true figure for the tax part of the order total. When the order
downlaods into RMS the cahsier is warned about this discrepancy. I
realise this discrepancy is documented in the customization guide and
is normal when a discrepancy exists. However would like to know if
there is a way to stop it showing, I have tried and have not mangae
it.

The financials are all correct in RMS and I don't have a problem with
tax on the items or the value of tax it's just the warnng message I
wold like to get rid of.

Has anybody acheived this?

Thanks

Debbie

Hi Debbie, it doesn't make sense for your online ecommerce software to
not have tax capabilities. Online carts initially were developed to
be independent of Point of Sale systems and were designed that way. I
would talk to your ecommerce cart developers and see what they can do.

Hi Debbie, this is a trivial issue for most e-commerce solutions, or
at least it should be! NitroSell fully supports a variety of tax
calculation rules that even allow you to set up taxation by county, so
the getting a precise & granular handling of the various tax
authorities is not a problem. Feel free to drop us a line for more
information, or a demonstration so you can see for yourself how we
might be an improvement for you in this area. http://www.nitrosell.com/contact/
