I load a generic text driver or WinXP drivers for an Epson or Panasonic
tractor fed printer and get a propperly printed label, but then it does a
form feed. The printer stops with 1 printed label and 9 blank labels. How
do i control the form feed after printing??

What label format are you using? If it's one of the Avery types, you
may need to adjust the Label Height or the number or Rows per page in
Label designer. You may also need to create a paper type in the Windows
printer properties to match your Label Designer Settings.

Yes I am using a predefined Avery Label. It prints the single label just
fine, then page feeds 10 more inches/10 labels as if the label is 8.5x11 page
format. How do I tell it that the label/ page is 1" high? I set parameters
of the label but the printer only has 8.5x11 fanfold paper size.

Most windows printer drivers allow you to add custom paper sizes, but I
don't remember the last time I saw a tractor feed printer, so that may
not be available in the driver. Did you set the ROWS in the label
designer to 10 (or 11 - however many rows are on the sheet)?

I have looked in both the Epson FX850, MS generic Text only, and the
Panisonic 2130 properties for paper size and all just have the common 8.5x11,
A4,envelopes, fan fold 8.5x11, and such. The owner has boxes of 1x4in fan
fold tractor feed labels and gets impatient when he uses his laser printer
with labels 3 columnx11 rows of labels, espically if he his printing a few
labels and he has a partial sheet of labels to deal with. His old program
use to use the tractor feed labels and it worked fine for 1 label or
hundreds. May be I am not looking in the right place in the label designer
to make that setting. Thanks for the help.
