But for offering store credit could we use vouchers instead. Any input as to how vouchers are treated differently from Gift cards? Gift Card/Certificate/Voucher are all the same. Gift Certificates are set up as Vouchers, so essentially they are the same thing. I have no idea how you would set up a gift certificate in RMS if you didn't set it up as a voucher. Do your customers always use the entire gift cert amount? We have convinced almost all of our customers to have one thing, a gift card. This will handle credits, returns, gifts, refunds, whatever.
