Greetings. Which inbound TCP ports will I need to open in order to run a
remote session of Store Ops Manager. Will be connecting remotley across a
high speed WAN (both machines have static IP address and are running XP Pro).

Thanx!

Thanks. Not running HQ so I guess I'll just need port 1433 open in both
directions...

Thanx again!

Opening port 1433 is not generally a good security practice. I'd look into
a VPN solution. Also, see my earlier post regarding WAN support - or the
lack thereof :) You might consider a remote control package like PC
Anywhere if you have problems with a direct connection.

Good Luck!

Yes, thanks...after thinking about it, it does make better sense that PC
Anywhere would solve both the security and bandwidth/response time issues
while still getting the same functionality ~ in fact, besides store ops
manager, shouldn't it even work to access the POS itself?

Regards,
