Dear Andrea,
At Retail Realm we have created a moduke called "Allocation Manager" - The
idea is NOT to create the PO automatically as this has a lot of problems:
Problems:
1- The WO may have multiple lines so you now create multiple PO
2- YOur supplier will not be happy to get 50 PO of 1 line each
Real issue is to kmnow what stock that is received belongs to which order
and not allow the stock to be assigned incorrectly to someone else. Also in
many instances to have the ability to print a label that can be associated
with the item.
So what I suggest is that you run a PO on daily base for items that are
below par level and then with RR Allocation Manager control what part of the
order belong sto which: Work Order, Layaway, Or back Order.
If you want a demo of this I can arrange our office to schedule a web based
demo for you.
