backup for SO

Hi All

Before one month I face big problem H.D.D for Store POS is damage !!! all
backup is there and I lose one day sale and I have stock befor that day
????? so I download all item for that store on new database so now I have
stock upto which day befor(damage H.D.D) day. and I call partner they toke
full year sale from HQ and put on SO by SQL. but actually they forget
something (Item ID)
so the total sale is showing same but Item is diffrent. any way now I want
ask:
Is there any way or any plan for backup?
cuse if I save on system its not safe 100%.

Do you have an HQ database in your organization? With sales in the HQ?
Because it's possible to rebuild a correct store database from
item/item dynamic, transaction/transactionentry,item inventory and
po.. only for items with movements. (with a rebuild of foreign key).

For the backup .. do you have a backup device? or another computer in
your shop-network? It's possible to create backup of your SO in the
network ...

HI Mohd, I think Cod has answer you already but let me add something new to
you.

I have no HQ but how I implemented the SO in my Head office is using
Replication technology so any damagae come to my so machine I have no problem
becasue i have already replicated database as backup.

The second thing which I have done is point-in-time recovery in SQL server
and that's works really fine to me. I have just backup device where this
point in time recovery backup goes. that's all. Let me know I will send you
the replication script if you already know what is it?

Thanks Cod and Akber

Cod we already make that one we replace SO database by using HQ database but
the partener make maistake cuse they not check Item ID on transactionentry
table so we pass that problem now but I want make ready solution if this
happen agin. and we not have network on store.We have just now 42 SO and we
go to open 5 more and my manager he well not accept buy backup devaice for
all store.

Akber actully this first time I hear about Replication technology but if you
send to me I can learn about that. I well try agin with my manager to fix
backup device.

but Akber if I replace backupdevice and we go to use your process I have to
install SQL server on Store?

Do you can establish a connection between store and hq via SQL ? Because
it will be mandatory run a query of update in store database with
data of hq, or to have a copy (through DTS) of Item, ItemDynamic,
Transaction, TransactionEntry (only of current store) of data in HQ in a
new database in the store ...
