How many people world wide are using RMS

Over 20,000 as of sometime in 2005. It's a tough number to verify....

I'm sure someone at Microsoft knows, though it may not be a number they're
willing to share freely.

I read the 20,000 figure on their "Solutions in Action CD", a CD with white
papers, case studies, and product information with a copyright date of 2005.
Here's the quote.

"Microsoft Retail Management SYstem has already been installed by more than
20,000 retailers and comes with the backing of Microsoft."

I would love to know the figure for Microsoft Point of Sale. I know the
potential is HUGE and fully expect Microsoft to gain significant market share
but how many copies have actually sold and/or been installed is number I
haven't been able to find yet.

According to a Partner slideshow last month, now over 40k copies sold
worldwide. I'm assuming that's between QS2K, QSC, RMS (SO & HQ) and MSPOS.
