Our store has been using an evaluation of HQ, which I have set up and
experimented with. Now we are thinking about purchasing it, but we have
reached a problem. Our current employee who adds items to the RMS database
was not trained to use HQ, as I was just experimenting with it. Because of
this, the employee added the new items to the SO database instead of using HQ
and worksheets. Is there any way to have the new items from the store
database uploaded to the HQ database?

Cribs - go ahead and purchase the HQ software.

If you were not polling between the HQ evaluation software and the store
operations software, just create your new headquarters database from your
store operations database that contains all your items. If all your items
were created in store ops then the HQID values will be zero in the item table.

If you had been exchanging (polling) between your HQ evaluation software and
the store operations software, here's how I'd handle: Export your item list
from your existing store ops database (you can run a report or a sql query
that includes the key information needed by QSCIMP); use QSCIMP to import
these items into a new store ops db - use this new store ops db to create
your HQ db.

QSCIMP is a free tool you can download if you have access to customersource.
If you don't have access to customersource, engage an RMS certified partner
that can perform this service for you.

Hope this helps

I have been running RMS for one store and am now adding another store and
HQ. I am looking for a solution to use items from my current store to
populate my items in the 2nd store. It sounds like your SQL script may do
this. I am also new to HQ. Is it possible to connect the 1st store to HQ
and then populate the items in the 2nd store through HQ?

Hi genepacii
i dont think you will need my scripts.
simply.
in case you had already Import the SO Data to the HQ you can use the
worksheet 260 to donwload the Data to ur store,
else,
using the HQ administrator , Database menu, Import Store Opration Data,
then you can donwload the Data to you stores using the worksheet 260
good luck
