Good suggestion, if all you have are a few laptops, plug a scanner on each,
open a notepad, then scan away (you will see one scan per row). Save the
notepad as a text file (.txt), but then open it with excel (open excel first,
then go to file - open - this runs a little wizard where you'll assign the
column with the scans as TEXT); then on the excel spreadsheet, enter the
number "1" on the second column, right next to the scans, as this is your
scanned quantity per row (needed by the import process in the PI). Save the
excel file, again as a .txt file, then you are ready to import the files into
the PI - hope this helps.....
