hi, im getting this message in my PO machine and its breacking the current

Error 7: Out of memory

i read that problem is caused for background running aplications with large
memory usage... bu i only have the NOD antivirus, the RMS POS, the excel, and
the MSDE.
this is the machine background:

HP desktop computer
Pentium 4 3.0 Gh
256 RAM

Aldo,

Here the generic version;
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;241245

Try renaming the file, restart and see if that fixes it.

You don't mention which version of Windows, but if Win9x, you need to
restart the machine every couple of days. If W2K or XP, you barely have
enough to run W2K or XP, add more RAM. 512 meg minimum.

You might also upgrade your version of MSDE to SP4, http://tinyurl.com/cgrqj
and the hotfix too, http://tinyurl.com/8s8op

And why microsoft is suggesting 128 RAM when almost all other people are
suggesting me 512 RAM while ?

I know 512 will work better but why microsoft says thhat 128? look here
plis...

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/upgrading/sysreqs.mspx

Here's What You Need to Use Windows XP Professional
•        PC with 300 megahertz or higher processor clock speed recommended; 233 MHz
minimum required (single or dual processor system);* Intel Pentium/Celeron
family, or AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended
•        128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported;
may limit performance and some features)
•        1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space*
•        Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor
•        CD-ROM or DVD drive
•        Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

Aldo,

Yes, XP will run in 128 meg. MS always lowballs minimum requirements and
then they wonder why everyone is complaining about how slow it is.

Load a couple of programs up at the same time and the computer is constantly
reading from the hard drive (very slow) for those programs instead of it
being in memory (much faster). More RAM means more programs can be running
at the same time.

Remember that you have unseen programs running all of the time. Right click
on your task bar, left click on Task Manager, go to the Processes tab and
look at all of the programs running. For example, the machine I'm typing on
has 129 programs running right now.
