Microsoft should add the ability to count serialized inventory items by
scanning the serial number(s) directly in the physical inventory process.
Then have it compare the counted serial numbers to the serial numbers that
are marked as available and calculate a variance. This way RMS would not
only know whether or not there was a variance in the on hand quantity, but
RMS would also be able to tell which specific serial numbers, if any, where
short. Then it would be nice if it would tell you which serial numbers were
missing, etc., and give you the option of committing to your count and having
RMS adjust the status on that serial number so that it no longer showed as
available, or to manually adjust the serial number count.
