Hello All,

Is it absolutely required that I use the chart of accounts that
Quickbooks has by default?

Would anyone be able to supply a list of accounts a web/graphic design
company can use or know where I can get it?

Thanks.

There is no requirement to use QB charts of accounts. At set up you
can choose no chart - and then construct your own.

Your best source of your chart is yourself - what do you want to know
about your business financial result.

Your second best source is your accountant who will at least tell you
what he/she wants in order to handle your tax affairs.

Your third best source will be another similar company, not
necessarily one using QuickBooks, who will share their information.

Otherwise, I am sure someone else on the list may know of one for you.
But make sure you adapt them to what you want to know.

Don't know where you are but I highly suggest for you to find an
accountant who is a QuickbooksProAdvisor to get you started.

The hours of cleaning up a messed up accounting system is worth paying
someone to get you going.

I am just an end used and cannot help you.

Appreciate all the advice guys... I know what kind of expenses I have,
but I thought for Quickbooks it was required to use the accounts they
give you.
