Check Card Purchases

How do you post check card purcheses and have them come off of your bank
balance?

My business VISA drafts once a month from my checking account. Basically
it's a debit card.

I enter the transaction into my main check register. I don't put a check
number but use "VISA" as the number instead.

I've been doing this successfully for more than 3 years.

Please log in for more thread options

Just enter something other than a check number in the check number
field. QB will order them by what's in the check number field. So
anything that posts to the checking account that isn't a numbered
check I enter EFT to keep all of those together. It makes it quicker
for me to reconcile the checking account.
