hi all,

i'd like to copy data files from one computer to another in their
native format (.QBW, instead of having to backup and restore). i've
noticed that there are files that end in ".lmr" and ".cfp".

what are these files and what do they do? do i need to also copy these
files over?

thanks in advance

1.) You only need to copy QBW .

2.) Google is your friend:
file extension lmr tells you that LMR is Loan Manager Data;

file extension cfp tells you that CFP is The Complete Fax Portable fax
file.

What about the new files extensions used by QB2006: filename.qbw.ND (network
data file) and filename.qbw.TLG (Transaction Log File). Do these need to be
copied too?

Have to let someone with 2006 answer that.

Although I cannot see why a log file is needed the network data file
might be required for multi users. These are just guesses.
