I am used to passing entries by giving a debit effect and a
corresponding credit effect to accounts. While using Quickbooks is
there any way in which I come to know which account is debited and
which accounts is credited?
Ex- While preparing an invoice can I see an entry which says:

Customer Account (Dr)
To Sales Account (Cr)

Not while you are creating the invoice. For a saved invoice, pull it up and
hit the journal button.

I may be totally missing it, but in my QB 2008 Premier, I see no "Journal"
Button on a saved invoice

In my Quickbooks 2008 Premier, with the saved invoice open, it is on the
toolbar for the Create Invoices window, betweeen the History and Letters
buttons.
