Hello I'm new at this...

I purchased Quickbooks 2009 not long ago and now I need to Enter my
receipts.
Example: Pens and Paper I purchased at the dollar store... etc... Gas for
car...

Questions:

Do I need to enter all the details like the address Phone number of the
place.
Because most receipts do not have all these details..

Is it really Important ?

Thanks You

Only if the information would be helpful to you in the future. Save the
receipts if you are deducting the above as business expenses.

The only time I enter the address, etc is for vendors that I need to send a
check to. Typically this is just for utilities, contractors or credit/gas
cards. Debit card transactions at local stores I just enter the company and
leave it at that.
