I searched the group and couldn't find an aswer to my problem, sorry if
its already handled.I have just been forced to get a new computer,it's
running Vista home 32bit,I have QB2005pro, and I can't get it to
install, the installer says I need flash7 the it tried to install
it,then crashes.I was running fine on my old XP pro system, and I kept
the updates currents.I searched the net for a copy of flash 7 but no
luck, anybody have a suggestion or two? QB'05 does everything I need
and I'd rather not have to be FORCED into an upgrade.
Thanks for any pointers to get this copy intalled and running.

Steve,

You always have the option to install your previous XP Pro onto the
new computer. M$ will license the installation of *any* prior version
of Windoze onto your machine as long as you have the original lincense
for it. Dual-boot is an option.

Downgrading to XP because of QB 2005 when newer versions of the program are
available that are 100% compatible with Vista is a dumb idea. I have been
using Vista since it came out and would never want to go back to XP.

Haskell can be blunt, but he is certainly correct here. In addition,
unless you are a computer whiz or have one standing by, re-installing
XP on its own or as a dual boot is real pain.

Best,

Peter

Even if you can get it installed, chances are you will encounter various
other problems running QB 2005 under Vista. Upgrade to QB 2009 it comes out
next week or suffer the consequences. You have been warned.
