We are using QB online and need some help. We can run P&L reports by
class for a specified time period but we want to know how to customize
the reports so it will display P&L by months for exporting to Excel.
Basically, if Column A were items for income & expense, we want Jan
2006 to be in Column B for instance, Feb 2006 in Column C and so forth.

Is this possible?

It is possible by printing to a text file.
- Go to print, then select the radio button that "File",
- On the pull-down menu choose either "Comma delimited file" or "Tab
delimited file",
- Hit the "Print" button,

The program will select your QuickBooks directory by default as the
location to save your file. Do not save the file in that spot. Click to
your desktop and save the file to your desktop with an unique name such
as "Income Statement" . Go to your desktop, right click on the file and
choose "Open With", then choose Excel...
