On QB2009 I clicked on an information icon on the home screen and it
highlighted a workflow. I now want to turn the highlighting off but
cannot find any way to do that. What am I missing?

what version of QB are you using-SS, Pro or Premier?

I'm trying to figure out what you mean by "information icon" and "workflow".

What happens when you hit the escape key?

I found it...Over to the right expand the "QuickBooks Coach" section. Click
on "hide coach Tips" and that will return your Home page to normal.

If you want to totally hide the Coach's tips go to
Edit>>Preferences>>Desktop>>My preferences and uncheck "show coach window
and features". (this is one of the first things I turn off after installing
QB.)

I had the exact same question.

This must have puzzled you as much as me. I got as far as the coach but
didn't actually "start" it, so I still couldn't figure out what the
question meant.

But thanx for figuring this out!
