A guy invents a magic machine to read X-Rays. Doctors and hospitals email
him an X-Ray and, within two hours, he sends back a report. The report costs
half what a Radiologist would charge and agrees with the diagnosis of
trained, professional radiologists 98.7% of the time.

He is hailed in all quarters (except, obviously, by the radiologist
community) for the timeliness of his reports and for helping keep health
care costs down. GE and other big companies offer him bags and bags of money
for his invention.

Then it leaks out...

His "invention" is nothing more than a PC. He forwards the X-Rays to
radiologists in India who read the films and send back reports.

The inventor then villified, prosecuted, and condemned.

It could happen.

My concerns were the fact that the beloved Mr. Block outsourced his posts
made to newsgroups.
