How to display total of quantity on invoice? Boppy 10-19-2008

Hi guys, when I invoice my clients I put my hours in the quantity
column. I only ever get a total of the dollar amount, not the hours
worked. Looking in the template customisation, there doesn't seem to
be an option to have a total show up for quantity. Can anyone suggest
a way to show this field?

I would search my help files but every time I try, I get an error
saying I have a script error. I think this is due to Vista auto
installing Explorer 7 whereas QB wants 6. I have asked Quicken for
help with this issue.

This is QB08/09 but I also the same issues in 2004 so I guess it
doesn't matter what version I am using if anyone cares to have a go at
helping me. This version did not ship with a manual :(

Thanks in advance,
Jo

You can't get this total on the invoice template.

It is caused by a Microsoft security update for Explorer, not the
version. QB 2008-09 is perfectly content with IE7.

If you ignore the error and go to the Index pages of the Help, it will
work fine.

Try the support disk that came with the software. You must have bought
an upgrade direct, because all the boxes that are sold by retailers or
Quicken consultants contain a manual. I am not sure whether the support
disk includes such a thing.

In any case, the Help File is much better than the manual.

Thanks Bob, the software came in a box with a couple of disks and an
installtion guide but no manual. It was purchased through my client's
accountant. He swears that version does not come with a manual.

Quicken are sending me the instructions to remove the Windows update
which is causing the conflict.
