I've constructed an *.IIF file for some 2.000 transactions and have
imported it. The dialog box tells me I've successfully imported. But I
can find no transactions anywhere. Lists of names have come through,
the chart of accounts came through, but there are no discoverable
transactions nor reports with any data in them. Can anyone help?
Otherwise, I'll be left to manually enter all these transactions.

Create a test IIF file with just a few transactions, in csv format
if possible (easier to check for errors), and post it here.

I am obviously "group-challenged." I do realize I can't attach a file
to a post unless I send the group an email from outside the group
interface. But for the life of me I can't figure out the email address
for this group.

google won't allow you to post attachments. You would need to use a
newsreader like outlook express and subscribe to the group using your ISPs
newsserver. But since you are using google to read/post to this group, I am
guessing you might not have access to a newsserver.

How about opening up the iif file in notepad and copy/pasting a few lines to
a message?

For good reason, its about the only good thing Google has done since it
hijacked usenet.

Or any number of free or paid-access news servers out there.

Just a little nitpick since so many Google users are very ignorant about
usenet...if you can get on the internet then you can get subscription to a
news server.

That is the only viable option since posting attachments to non-binary
newsgroups is prohibited.
