What is Quickbooks recommended maximim file size? My file size is 82Mb and
growing. In the past QBP had a condensing utility that shrank the file size
by merging/deleting/summarizing past transactions. I cannot find that
utility in my new QBP07. I have a powerful WinXP P4 3.0ghz w/2mb ram. When
should I start to worry? I've seen Karl Irvin website www.q2q.us . He has
many QB utilities. Has anyone tried this using his utilities? I get a little
worried messing w/ financials accuracy.

The utility is there. Seek and yea will find. Actual file size in QB
versions 2006 and up may not differ much afer using the utility.

Allan,
I have seen the Clean up Company data in the File>Utilities section. I've
knew that it says it specifically states that this won't reduce the size of
my company file which is why I didn't use it. Having 1250 total names and
33,000 transactions w/ 82Mb file, I was hoping there was a way to reduce my
company file size by condensing old transaction/customer/vendors. In the
past, after condensing the file size was significantly reduced.
Have you ever used the utility? Was the file size the same?
