I am getting the message since I update to IE 7 that I should revert
back to IE 6 for QB. What is the tie to IE? I actually use Firefox.. Why
is QB so far behind. I am using QB 2005 Pro.

A few internal reporting processes are tied to IE in QB are the Help file
and Merchant services. Customer and Vendor centers also use IE to display
their reports. There could be more. It has nothing to do with what your
default browser is as Intuit chose to hard code the use of the IE browser to
display these reports.

There is supposed to be a patch released soon for QB 2005 so just ignore the
messages for now or revert back to IE6 until they release the patch.
