If I have two customers named John Smith I don't find it to be
"professional" to call them John1 and john2 but QuickBooks enterprise
don't allow me to create two customers with the same name. What are my
options?

John Smith + J Smith
John Smith + Smith, John
John Smith the Elder + John Smith the Younger
John Smith - Main Street + John Smith - Not Main Street
John "Red" Smith + John "Baldy" Smith

I run into that often, I simply add their zip code at the end of their name
in the Customer:Job field, then delete the zip code in the bill to field,
makes for easy sorting.
