Need to keep resetting online password Roger Spitzer 08-02-2006

I'm having a recurrent problem with online banking using Qbooks Pro 2006 and
Bank of America. About a month ago BOFA changed their user ID format
requirements without sending me proper notice, so the user ID stopped
working and after 3 attempted log-ins in QuickBooks I was locked out. Since
there were pending online transactions I could not change my account user ID
within QuickBooks. It only took 2 hours of tech support before I reached a
tech that knew how to manually delete pending items without going online.
Anyway, I got that fixed, created a new user ID and password which worked
for a couple of sessions and then I got one "unable to connect" error
message, a program crash, a 2nd "unable to connect" message and locked out
again. I was able to go online directly through the bank website, change the
password again, and everything worked twice. Today again went through the
same scenario with an "unable to connect", program crash, "unable to
connect" (after a full system reboot) and the locked-out due to 3
unsuccessful login attempts message. I again went to the website and changed
the password.

After the first fix above, my online banking message window showed that
QuickBooks had detected a bunch of "new" payees that I needed to name or
associate with an existing name. These were all old online payees, but it
won't let me associate them with existing entries and when I view them and
assign a new name nothing happens, nor can I delete them.

Is my program now unstable? Is it a Bank of America problem? Any help
appreciated.

All I can say is I'm having no trouble going online with Comerica Bank and First
Republic Bank.

You should rebuild your data file.
