Sorry it too me so long to read this.
No, QB uses various Excel DLL's to create/convert Excel spreadsheets.
So it has to have Excel installed.
The best we can do is to send as many "Help", "Suggestions"
as possible requesting Open Office support. Make sure
you point out to them that with the extra money we save, we
can afford to purchase more services from them (Intuit).
