I've computed and paid our quarterly State Unemployment Tax using QB 2005
for the past two years. For some unexplained reason, the state agency just
sent me a notice to the effect that I have a $5.95 credit to be applied to
the next quarterly payment.

If I continue using the normal procedures, is there a way I can reduce the
QB computed payment by the amount of the credit, prior to printing the
check?
If so, what would be the steps?

Use the normal procedure to remit your tax but do not print the cheque.
Go into your Cheque Register> locate the cheque> adjust for the
credit> Print.
