I tried to download a payroll update last week, and Quickbooks failed me
miserably. I got the following message:

[Error 15222] The payroll update did not complete successfully.
Quickbooks could not verify the digital signature within the update file.
For troubleshooting steps, note the error and type the following into a
Web browser windows:
[Error 15222] The payroll update did not complete successfully.
Quickbooks could not verify the digital signature within the update file.
For troubleshooting steps, note the error and type the following into a
Web browser windows:
www.quickbooks.com/support/payrollupdate.html

I went to the web site, nothing. There is no list of Error 15222.

Now Quickbooks no longer automatically calculates Federal and State
Withholding.

Anyone have an idea?

Yes, get on the phone with QB so they can debug your network problem or give you
a URL for a manual update.

Might try that update again first though, just in case they posted a bad file.
