I have loaded QB 2006 Premier (Professional Service) onto a test computer
running Vista. Everything I have tested so far works with the exception of
invoicing (!). When I try to create an invoice, the application hangs.
Funny thing is that this only happens with my actual company file, not the
sample files. I have resorted lists, verified data, and rebuilt. I have
imported backups and portable company files.

Any ideas? Vista is performing so well on my test machine (a Dell Latitude
D620, it is a dream with Office 2007) that I am willing to give it a shot in
production if I can get QB working.

All suggestions appreciated.

It's an undocumented feature courtesy of Microsoft. Now that they
have a competing product they conventiently broke Quickbooks.

Microsoft bought Great Plains a while back, they want to
put the other products out of business.

Just ask Staker Electronics how receptive Microsoft is to
competition.

I would add vista is in major trouble. A researcher has found a way
to start malware running on 64 bit systems that runs before the
operating system even starts. This will be worse than rootkits.
