QB 2007 on my Vista machine disappeared....

Because end users don't screw things up enough on their own we need to
fabricate a mystery somebody to explain what happened. I don't think so.

Someone used your machine while you thought it was off. Load the backup.
Problem solved. NEXT!

You logged on as a different user. USER2 files are not visible to USER1.
