Our old computers are running Windows XP and QB Pro 1999 version.
We anticiapte getting new computers with Windows Vista and QB 2007 version.
Will our old QB file convert with no problem?
TIA

We converted from QB 2004 on Windows XP Pro to QB 2007 Pro on Vista and it
was painless. If you have a problem, call them up and they will walk you
through it if my prior experience is a guide.

Vista itself is going to cause headaches. Get a computer with XP Pro that is
upgradable to Vista. Wait a year (or 2) when they release SP1 for Vista to
upgrade.

Converting your file from 99 to 2007 *should* work. Worse case, is you have
to find a Pro Advisor that has other versions like 2004 pro and can convert
your file to that version for you. Converting from 2004 to 2007 is not a
problem.

It "should" convert. I just ran a test using QB2007 and
it converted a QB99 sample file without any apparent
problem.

I strongly recommend that you run a Full Rebuild on
the data file from within QB99 before you upgrade the
file.
