I'm not sure I've understood what you're trying to achieve and I use
Quickbooks UK anyway so this might not be correct for your version:
>From what you've said you're trying to have the icon bar appear with
just one icon, for 'Customer;Job List'? Go to View, click on Icon Bar
so that the full Icon Bar appears, NOW open your Customer: Job List,
go back to View and the option to 'Add Customer: Job List to Icon Bar
is now available. Once you've added it to the Icon Bar you can go to
View > Customise Icon Bar and remove all the other icons.
