Very many thanks for your consideration and thoughtful comments. Sadly
the last CD back up was well over one year ago and the thought of
inputting all those blasted boring figures again is almost more than I
can bear to think about.
This is a lesson to me and anyone else that whilst it is so easy to use
an additional drive for speedy big backups, at the end of the day there
is nothing like having independent backups, apart from the added
security in case of theft or fire etc. The stupid thing is that earlier
yesterday I was briefly discussing this very subject with a neighbour,
but I imagine the loss had already occurred quite unbeknown to me!
I wonder if anyone can remember the exact date that the last upgrade of
QB Regular 2006 went out. I think it was within the last seven days
that I had it.
Cheers
