QB upset after reconciled items changed

Using QB Contractor 2006

I've noticed QB gets sort of upset with you if you add or delete things in
previously reconciled areas.

Well, I had to do this, and now it's upset with me.

How do I get back in it's good graces? I want to get the correct items
marked off as reconciled, and the reconciliation beginning and ending
balances correct.

Any advice?

I already apologized and promised never to do that again, but that didn't
help.
