QuickBooks 2004 and IE 7 - What EXACTLY are the issues. Lee W 10-22-2007

Ok, so we have QuickBooks 2004 still in use with, sadly, no immediate
plans to upgrade.

Our computers ended up updating to IE7. We got warnings that there
was a compatibility problem. But what EXACTLY is the compatibility
problem? Is it that certain web features don't work? Is it possible
that it will corrupt data? What?

I ask because this update happened about 2 weeks ago and then about a
week ago, our data got corrupted (and it had been ROCK SOLID) for
months, if not years, with no corruption. I would just feel more
comfortable knowing exactly what's not compatible then a bland warning
like it currently has.

Thanks

The definitive word seems to be to roll back to IE6

Since the OPP is still on version 2004 common sense dictates move up to QB
2008.

OP already said that was NOT an option; so rollback to IE6 solves the
problems.

The OP said they have no plains to upgrade. That still leaves some room for
common sense to step in.
