I see Amazon now has this on-sale for ~ $100 w/free shipping ...

I have only purchased the Quickbooks Payroll service directly from my
Quickbooks s/w (i.e. directly from Intuit.)

These 3rd party retailers stipulate that

" ... Detailed Specifications...
QuickBooks Standard Payroll requires annual subscription, EIN, and
QuickBooks 2004 to 2007 or QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Version
7.0/6.0/5.0 ... "


so my concern is, once one purchases "Quickbooks Payroll 2007" from a
retailer ( other than directly from Intuit ) , do you still have to pay
Intuit the $199 for the annual subscription ?
