Using Quickbooks 06 Pro, we have our data files on a Maxtor Network
Attached Storage drive.
As this device is getting old, I am looking to upgrade to something
more fault-tolerant. I installed a Thermaltake NAS-Raid.
The Thermaltake, like many of the newer NAS devices, has security
features requiring the user to log in to the drive each day. The user
simply enters a user name and password and then has access to the drive
until they shut the computer down. At reboot, the user has to log in
again. The important thing is, once logged in, the user can access the
drive through my network places like any other network resource.
Quickbooks crashes when we try to access data on the new drive. I
guess it doesn't like the security features of the new NAS.
Anyone have a recommendation of a good NAS compatible with quickbooks?
