Hello,

I have a newly acquired customer who is using a pirated version of
Quickbooks Enterprise 4.0 on a terminal server. I want to speak to them
about acquiring properly licensed software but I don't know what
upgrade paths are available for their Company File. They certainly have
no need for Enterprise, however I have heard that I may need to
purchase Enterprise in order to keep using the same Company File. I
have also heard that Enterprise is no longer available in Canada so I
am staring at a brick wall :)

Any help is appreciated!

Jesse

Interesting. If true, then I wonder what path Intuit has provided
for existing Enterprise customers? One would "think" they would
have some means to move customers' data from Enterprise to
whatever is now available.

Here is the only thing I could find -- which would indicate that
Intuit "has" left them flapping in the wind (3rd party utilities
not withstanding):

An upgrade path was supplied to registered users of the product.

So Intuit want's to punish a potential customer?

'upgrade path' as far as discounts - I can understand NO.
'upgrade path' as far as data retention - I can't understand NO - especially
if it has been done....

Giving this person no upgrade path will direct them to another product,
IMO.....
